The Challenge
WordPress sites that lean on Google Drive were stuck moving files by hand. Editors downloaded a document from Drive, re-uploaded it to the Media Library, then repeated the whole cycle every time the source file changed. Hosting bills grew, media libraries drifted out of sync, and there was no safe way to expose a Drive folder to visitors without sharing the underlying account.
What We Built
Integration for Google Drive turns Drive into a first-class WordPress storage layer. One OAuth connection, and every folder is available to editors from inside the dashboard — no downloads, no duplicates, no manual re-uploads.
- Smart File Manager — browse, search, move, and share Drive files without leaving WP Admin.
- Front-end modules — File Browser, Gallery, Slider Carousel, File List, Media Player, and Upload Box, each placed with a shortcode or block.
- Media Library integration — Drive files appear alongside native uploads, so any theme or plugin that reads the Media Library just works.
- Multi-account support — connect several Drive accounts and scope each module to the right one.
- Secure delivery — private folders, per-user access rules, and signed links so files are never publicly exposed.
- SEO-friendly URLs — indexable, readable paths instead of opaque Drive IDs.
Integrations
The plugin ships with first-party support for the tools our users already run: WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads for selling files, Elementor for page building, Tutor LMS and LearnDash for course material, and Contact Form 7 and WPForms for uploads collected straight into Drive.

Beyond the plugin itself we designed and shipped the full product surface: the marketing site, pricing and comparison pages, the documentation hub, the in-plugin onboarding flow, and the WordPress.org listing assets. Every screen was built from the same design system as the rest of the CodeConfig product family.

- No. Files are served through your site, so visitors see them like any other page content. The Drive account stays private and is only used by the connection you authorise once.
- Yes. Files remain in Google Drive and are streamed from there, so nothing is duplicated onto your web host. Sites with large media libraries usually see the biggest saving.
- Yes. You can scope any folder or module to logged-in users, particular roles, or individual accounts, and generate private links that expire.
