How to Transfer a Freemius License from One Site to Another?
If you have purchased a single-site license for Dusky Dark Mode, you cannot use the license for another site. In this case, you must deactivate the license from the previous site before activating it on the new one.
This documentation will guide you step-by-step to successfully transfer your Dusky Dark Mode license from one site to another.
Note: A single-site license does not permit usage across multiple sites at the same time.
Follow the steps below carefully to transfer the Dusky Dark Mode License:
Step 1: Deactivate License
There are two ways to deactivate the license: either from the WordPress Dashboard (Account Page) or the Freemius account.
Deactivate License from WordPress Dashboard (Account Page)
You can deactivate the Dusky Dark Mode PRO license directly from the WordPress dashboard (the easiest method). Follow these steps:
- Access the backend of your WordPress website using your credentials.
- Locate and click on the “Dusky Dark Mode” plugin in the WordPress dashboard.
- Within the Dusky Dark Mode plugin, navigate to the “Account” section.
- Look for an option or button labeled “Deactivate License” and click on it. Your Dusky Dark Mode license will be deactivated.
Deactivate License from Freemius Dashboard
You can also deactivate the Dusky Dark Mode PRO License from the Freemius accounts page. Follow these steps:
- Open your web browser and go to “Customer Area” on the CodeConfig website.
- Use your Freemius login credentials to access the Customer Area.
- Once logged in, find and click on the “Licenses” tab in your account.
- Locate the specific license you want to deactivate (Dusky Dark Mode) and click on the “Deactivate” button associated with it. Your Dusky Dark Mode license will be deactivated.
Step 2: Activate License for the New Site
Once you have deactivated the license from your old website, proceed to activate it on the new one. Follow these steps:
- Access the backend of your new WordPress website using your credentials.
- Install & Activate the Dusky Dark Mode plugin.
- Get the previous license key for the Dusky Dark Mode plugin.
- Enter the License Key (you will be prompted to enter it after installing the Dusky Dark Mode PRO version).
Step 3: Activate PRO Version from Plugin Page
- Navigate to the Plugins page in your WordPress dashboard.
- Find Dusky Dark Mode and click on Activate License.
- Enter the License Key you received in your confirmation email.
