How to Build a Facebook Gallery

A Facebook gallery pulls media from a connected Facebook page into a WordPress gallery. You build it in the Gallery Builder by selecting the Facebook source, picking a page, setting filters, and choosing a layout. Facebook galleries are a Pro feature and require an active Facebook connection.

Before You Start

Connect your Facebook page before creating the gallery. See the guide to connect a social account if you have not done this yet.

• WP Social Media Gallery Pro installed and activated.
• An active Facebook connection in the Source tab.
• Facebook source enabled in Settings > Source.

Create a New Facebook Gallery

1. Go to WP Social Media Gallery > Gallery Builder.
2. Click Create New Gallery.
3. Enter a title.
4. Confirm the gallery type is set to Facebook.

The builder opens on the Source step. If Facebook is not enabled, the step shows a Premium Feature lock screen.

Pick a Page and Media Type

The Facebook source step has two menus: Accounts and Filters. In Accounts, pick the Facebook page you want to pull media from. In Filters, choose the media type and date range.

1. Click Accounts in the Facebook side menu.
2. Select your connected Facebook page from the dropdown.
3. Click Filters in the side menu.
4. Under Select File Type, pick All Files, Image, Audio, or Video.
5. Set Maximum Limit to the number of posts to fetch.
6. Set Select Sorting to a date range or custom date.

The plugin fetches the media automatically after you set the filters. Selected files appear as thumbnails in the Files Container.

Choose Layout and Save

After the media loads, go to the Configuration step to pick a layout and adjust columns, spacing, and border radius. Then click Save Changes to store the gallery.

1. Click Configuration in the builder stepper.
2. Pick a view style: Automatic, Grid, Masonry, or Mosaic.
3. Set columns, spacing, and radius for each device.
4. Click Save Changes.

The gallery is saved to the wp_ccpwpsmg_galleries table and assigned an ID. You can reopen it any time from the Gallery Builder list.

What to Check

Confirm the Facebook gallery works correctly after saving.

• The Files Container shows Facebook media thumbnails.
• The chosen layout renders correctly on the front end.
• The gallery refreshes when you click Save Changes with new filters.

Troubleshooting

If the Facebook gallery does not load media, check the following.

• No files loaded: Confirm the Facebook connection is active in Settings > Source. An expired token returns no files.
• Empty file type: Verify the selected file type matches the media on your Facebook page.
• Token expired: Click Refresh on the Facebook connection card in Settings > Source.
