The File Manager for Dropbox plugin allows you to automatically sync your Dropbox folders and display them on your WordPress website. In this guide, we’ll show you how to set up auto-sync for your folders.
Enable Auto-Sync For Dashboard Folders
The File Manager for Dropbox plugin includes an auto-sync feature that updates your folders at regular intervals. Follow these steps to enable it:
- Go to Dropbox > Settings > Synchronization.
- Turn on the Auto-Sync option by toggling the switch.
- Click the Select Folder button. A pop-up will appear showing all your Dropbox folders. Choose the folder(s) you want to auto-sync—you can select multiple folders.

Setup Auto-Sync for a Module
To make your module auto-sync, you need to enable the auto-sync option in the module itself. The modules that support auto-sync include File Browser, Gallery, Media Player, Slider Carousel, Embed Document, and File List. To make it work, you must select a folder from the Source tab—if no folder is selected, auto-sync will not function.
- Go to your module.
- In the Source tab, select the folder you want to sync, then go to the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to find the Enable Automatic File Fetching option and toggle it on.
- Set the Fetch Interval in seconds (minimum 60 seconds, maximum 3600 seconds).
That’s it! Your module will now automatically fetch any newly added files from the selected folder in the source.
