How to Create View Links Shortcode in Dropbox?
File Manager for Dropbox makes it easy to manage and share your Dropbox files right from your WordPress site. With View Links your files remain accessible for viewing while you stay in full control. You can securely share important files like documents, images, or media.
Step 1: Create Shortcode For View Links
Go to File Manager for Dropbox > Shortcode Builder > Add New Shortcode
Step 2: Pick View Links Module
Select the View Links module from the list of available options.
Step 3: Configure the Source
Select your folder in Dropbox where the uploaded files will be stored and Next.
Step 4: Configure the Advanced
In Advanced Options users can customize how view links module files are displayed on their WordPress website.
Show Download Button: When enabled, this option add Download button to the file card, allowing users to download files directly from Dropbox.
Show File Size : Displays the file size on the file card, providing users with useful information about the file before downloading or viewing.
Show Time Stamp: Adds a timestamp to the file card, showing when the file was last modified or uploaded.
Step 5: Configure the Permission
Permission allows administrators to control access to the View Links Module.
- Everyone – All users can access.
- Logged Users – Only logged-in users can access.
- Roles – Restrict access to specific WordPress roles.
- Users – Grant access to selected users.
Show Access Denied Message: Displays a message for unauthorized users.
Now Click Finished. Great you have created file View Links module.
Step 6: Insert Shortcode to Your Page or Post
Go to Pages > Add New Paste the shortcode into the editor (Classic, Gutenberg, or Elementor) and Publish.
